It's Braden (again)

And today, I wanna cover how we helped a client hit 2,000 subscribers, but more importantly, book around 75 sales calls directly from the platform

Here’s what we’ll go over:

  • How a 2,000 subscriber channel generated 75 booked sales calls

  • The content strategy that attracted buyers instead of viewers

  • Why niche specificity converts better than broad reach every time

And if you want us to build a channel for you, [book a call here →]

The Actionable Takeaway

Treat your YouTube strategy as a 2-phase process.

Phase 1 - attracting new views, reaching cold audiences, going “niche viral”
Phase 2 - convert that audience

The way the algorithm works is that it will organically retarget everyone who watches your videos in phase 1.

So the more touchpoints you get with your ICP, the better.

Because you can then come in with your higher converting videos directly after and convert them.

The Wrong Metric

Subscribers are a vanity metric for B2B creators.

They feel good. They're visible. They're the number everyone asks about.

But a subscriber who watches your content and never buys from you is worth exactly zero to your business.

What actually matters is Calls booked and Deals closed.

And they are almost completely disconnected from subscriber count when your content is built the right way.

Aaron's channel is proof.

2,000 subscribers is tiny by any YouTube standard.

But 75 organically booked calls is serious pipeline for any B2B business.

The Strategy

The content mix was straightforward.

Half top of funnel, half middle, and bottom of funnel.

One video is built for views, the next is built to nurture and convert.

And we did that for 8 months straight.

The TOF videos got the channel in front of as many of the right people as possible.

The MOF and BOF videos took everyone who found the channel through the TOF content and moved them toward a call.

These are EXTREMELY important when creating a high converting channel.

They’re the kind of videos that speak directly to someone who already knows they have a problem and is actively looking for a solution.

The Outlier

The biggest single driver of the whole thing was one video.

And that’s kind of the game of content.

You post for months with little results, and then you have one post that changes the trajectory of everything.

"I Tried Sending 50,000 Cold Emails in a Week" hit 22,000 views and became the channel's clearest outlier.

This gave us tons of data to work with for future videos.

Now this may not have been the highest converting video but it pulled a massive wave of new viewers into the top of the funnel.

Then the MOF and BOF content that was already waiting for them did the converting.

That's the system.

The CTA Structure

Every single video had two CTAs.

Mid-roll at 30-50% through the video pushing viewers to book a call.

End of video pushing them to the next relevant piece of content to keep them in the ecosystem.

The mid-roll catches the people who are already convinced.

The end CTA keeps everyone else watching.

It really is that simple.

Focus on your strategy and ideation, have a strong script structure, and double down on CTAs.

That’s the playbook.
