Heyoo, it's Braden.

Today we're talking about why chasing views will destroy your B2B channel and what you should do instead

Here's what we’ll run through:

  • Why chasing views is the wrong goal for B2B YouTube

  • The micro-niche targeting play that gets views AND qualifies leads at the same time

  • How to apply it to your next video in about 10 minutes

And if you want free access to a 45-minute masterclass where I cover strategies like this more in depth, check it out here»

The Actionable Takeaway

Take your next planned video title and add your ICP within the title.

Example:

  • How to Grow Your Email List → How to Grow Your Email List as a $10M Shopify Brand

  • The Best Cold Email Strategy in 2026 → The Best Cold Email Strategy for Agency Owners (2026 Guide)

  • If I Started SEO in 2026, I’d Do This → If I Started SaaS SEO in 2026, I’d Do This

This will force the algorithm to push content directly to your ICP, and it takes very little extra work.

The Micro-Niche Targeting Play

Most B2B creators on YouTube are building their channels completely backwards.

They obsess over views because they think that more subscribers means more potential buyers.

So, they post titles like "5 Lessons From Running My Agency" or "My Daily Routine as a Founder"

Then they grind for months, accumulate some views, and generate zero revenue from the channel

And the problem isn't the content.

It's the targeting.

Videos that appeal to a wide audience ultimately bring in a lot of low-intent viewers.

And that’s exactly why you want to do the opposite, even if it means getting very little views on your videos.

This is called micro-niche targeting.

And the creators making serious money on YouTube without hundreds of thousands of subscribers are the ones who figured this out.

What Micro-Niche Targeting Actually Means

Instead of trying to reach everyone, you speak directly to one small, high-value audience with your videos

Look at these two titles as an example

Wide title: "The Laziest Way to Make Money Online ($100/day)"

Micro-niche title: "Make an Extra $30k-$50k Per Month in Your Info Business"

The first attracts beginners scrolling for entertainment.

The second attracts established entrepreneurs with money to spend who want a specific result.

Almost every person who clicks the second title is a qualified prospect.

Almost none of the people who click the first one are.

That's the difference.

But You Still Need Views

Here's where most people get stuck.

They hear "narrow your targeting" and assume that means you shouldn’t try to get views at all.

But taken to the natural extreme, if you got zero views, you’d never book a single call.

So what you want to do is maximize the number of people interested in your micro niche topic.

And you do that by borrowing concepts from already proven content.

Find a viral video from a big creator in a broad niche, keep the packaging, and swap the audience.

Real example from Iman Gadzhi:

Viral title: "YouTube Is Now on Easy Mode (Anyone Can Blow Up in 2025)"

Micro-niche version: "YouTube Is Now on Easy Mode for Info Business Owners"

Same title. Same curiosity.

But now every person who clicks it runs an info business.

You've maximized reach within your exact ICP instead of casting a net that catches everyone and converts nobody.
