Hey, it's Braden 👋
We booked an ecom agency 31 sales calls in a single month.
And it came down to three types of videos working together.
Here's what we'll cover:
The video type you should lean on for the top of funnel
The video type that converts better than anything else
The video type you should never overuse
And if you want us to plan something like this for your channel, book a call here →
The Actionable Takeaway
Most people post four versions of the same video and wonder why growth stalls.
Map your next 4 videos across all 3 types
Videos to reach less aware viewers
Videos to reach people on the edge of buying
Videos to reach people who are ready to buy
This creates an ecosystem that reaches new people AND converts them
Type 1 — Tutorial Content (Top of Funnel)
This is the type you lean on to bring in the views and it’s what helped us get close to 200k b2b views for this client.
Now, don't confuse this with a strategy breakdown.
These types of videos are usually on the back end of some sort of trend writing or browse-based concept
What I mean by that is we leverage a situation like "Claude just changed XYZ industry forever," and then we go through tutorial use cases
So these are not necessarily how-to-do-X-Y-Z things
Those are more SEO plays
This is more like a tutorial-based video that's generating new demand for your channel
That way anyone can watch it and walk away with value.
Type 2 — Strategy Breakdowns (Middle of Funnel)
This is the type that converts better than anything else.
You take an actual client process, the exact steps used, and break down how it generated a specific result.
This can be in the frame of a case study, like how we got XYZ result
This can be in the frame of a strategy, like the new way to do XYZ thing
Or this can even be just a remarkable claim, like how we generated $1 million in 30 days
As you can see, all of these can still appeal to a person who's never met you before, but it still walks through a process that you've used to help achieve a specific result
And these are the videos that put people on a call.
Type 3 — SEO Videos (Search)
This is the type you should never overuse.
SEO videos rank in YouTube search and keep booking calls long after you post them.
And SEO video would be like
How to set up your deliverability in 2026
How to use Close CRM for outbound DMs
How to use Clay to send 1,000 personalized emails per day
You're targeting exactly what your buyer is already typing into the search bar, so the lead flow compounds quietly in the background.
But lean on them too hard and your whole channel becomes search-bait.
You cap your ceiling, because search volume is finite and it never gives you the breakout reach a great tutorial can.
Use them as a supporting layer and not the whole strategy.
