Hey, it's Braden 👋
Two years ago, YouTube was the easiest platform to crack in all of B2B marketing.
Script a tutorial, slap a logo on the thumbnail, hit post and close $10k–$50k/month.
That era is over. But there's a new format that's working even better.
So today here’s what we'll cover:
Why the tutorial format is dead (and what killed it)
The raw-results experiment that's working right now
How one video pulled 20 qualified conversations at 200 subscribers
And if you want us to build this into your content strategy, [book a call here →]
The Actionable Takeaway
Your next video doesn't need to be a tutorial. It needs to be an experiment.
Pick a topic you'd normally teach and then turn it into a test you run live.
Run it as an experiment called "I tried X for a week (raw results)."
Document the real result — the setup, the failure, the build. No fake stakes.
That one reframe gives viewers a reason to watch to the end which is the exact thing a tutorial can't do.
Tutorials Don't Print Money Anymore
Two years ago, this was the easiest money in B2B marketing.
The playbook was simple.
Script an Apollo tutorial, throw the logo on a thumbnail, post, and wait. That alone could close $10k–$50k/month.
But everybody learned the exact same playbook.
Now you're competing against every founder who's been shipping tutorials since 2022.
The format's saturated, and it shows in the view counts.
The Raw-Results Experiment
The format that's working right now is the raw-results experiment.
"I tried sending 50,000 cold emails in a week."
"I tried dropshipping for a week — raw results."
It works because of 4 parts: the setup on camera, the failure, the build, and no fake stakes.
That combination gives the viewer a reason to watch to the end
They literally have to watch till the end to see what happened.
A tutorial tells people what to do.
But an experiment makes them watch you find out.
200 Subs. 30K Views. 20 Conversations.
We ran one of these with a cold email agency when he had ~200 subscribers.
That single video pulled close to 30,000 views and ~20 qualified conversations.
No big channel.
No ad spend.
Just the right format at the right time.
And the B2B space is starving for this
So I highly recommend you go run one.
Just pick a topic, run the experiment, and document the result.
