Heyoo, it's Braden.

We just booked 10 sales calls in a single week for a channel with 100 subscribers.

One B2B video did 150,000 views.

We'd run that back 10 times out of 10. BUT we'd run it differently.

Because, although it sounds amazing, it's not all that special.

Here's what we'll cover:

  • What actually produced 10 calls in 7 days on a brand new channel

  • Why 150k views on a B2B video is a very different signal than it looks like

  • The qualification layer we're building on top of it now

And if you want us to build the front end and the filter for you, book a call here →

The Actionable Takeaway

Go add friction to your booking form today. Four fields:

Business size and website. You can enrich everything else on the backend before the call.

Revenue range, as a dropdown. Never an open text field. People lie in open text fields.

"Do you currently have budget allocated to marketing?" This one question does most of the work by itself.

Because once you start getting volume to the channel, your main goal should be protecting your sales team's time.

10 Calls In A Week On 100 Subscribers

This was a brand new channel with 100 subscribers.

No library, no history, nothing to lean on.

One B2B video went out and did 150,000 views.

The traffic ran into a simple VSL to Calendly flow.

No gate, no questions, no friction.

Then we booked 10 sales calls in 7 days.

Now, I know that sounds amazing, but the reality is a lot of them were tire kickers.

There are a few deals on the line, so we would make this trade-off 10 times out of 10, but it led us to a really eye-opening lesson.

What 150,000 Views Taught Us

Now, here's the part we didn't plan for.

Views split into two buckets: people who could actually buy from you, and people who never will.

The second bucket is always the bigger one.

Usually by a lot.

So when a B2B video cracks 150,000 views, the math tells you most of that reach landed in the bucket that can't buy.

And here's the thing nobody warns you about: the second bucket books calls too.

They're curious.

They're free.

They're interested in the topic and not the offer.

So the calendar filled up fast, and the sales team paid for it in hours.

To be clear, we want that traffic every single time.

150k views on a B2B channel is a gift.

We just learned we need something sitting between the video and the calendar.

Usually, we push clients to do this once they get traffic, so it's not out of the norm. We just don't need to over-optimize until we have the subscriber and view count to do so

The Filter We're Building Instead

Every booking now runs through pre-qualification questions before anyone gets a slot.

Those answers get enriched on the backend so we know who's showing up before they show up.

Bad fits get handled before the call, not discovered 12 minutes into it.

And everyone else gets routed by what they answered.

Right calendar, right rep, or straight into a downsell or an upsell that actually fits their budget.

The goal was never fewer calls.

The goal is making sure the sales team's calendar only holds buyers.

Same traffic. Same video. Completely different week.
