"Why are the views so low?"

A $1M+ founder asked me that on a call this week, scrolling through one of our client's channels.

Then I showed him how many calls that channel books and he said “Wow that’s really good”

So today I want to cover:

  • The sales-call moment that flips how you see YouTube

  • Why 2,500 subscribers is all you need in B2B

  • How a "low-view" channel quietly books 10–12 calls a month

And if you want to see if we can help you do something similar, [book a call here →]

The Actionable Takeaway

Open YouTube Studio right now and ignore the view counts.

Pull your last 4 videos and ask one question: how many qualified calls did they actually book?

That number is your scoreboard

Solving for it includes a lot of different actions, but just looking at views certainly isn’t one of them.

A tiny channel that books calls beats a big one that books nothing.

"Why Are the Views So Low?"

I got on a call this week with a founder.

We pulled up one of our client's channels to walk through it

For context, he has 2,500 subscribers, around 50 videos, and some vids that have crushed in the B2B space.

But the prospect still said:

"His recent videos are only doing 300–400 views. What's he missing?"

It's the most common question I get.

However instead of trying to explain myself and why we want more views, I told him the complete opposite of what he was thinking

I told him what that "underperforming" channel actually does.

10–12 booked calls a month.

2-3 closed deals a month.

And he just launched an accelerator off the back of it.

All from a guy who records about an hour a week.

Then he said "That's actually really good."

In B2B, 2,500 engaged subscribers is all you need

How a "Low-View" Channel Books 12 Calls

Now, how do we actually do that?

How do we take a small channel with only 2.5k subscribers and turn it into a lead gen machine?

The first answer is optimizing for views per booked call, not raw views.

Because yes, views aren’t your main KPI, but you still need some sort of viewership to sell to

We just focus on keeping it high intent

From there, we double down on our winners

The videos that book the most calls are our winners and we do whatever we can to replicate them.

Then we script for conversions

Every script is designed to take someone from curious to close.

The packaging gets them interested, the script holds their interest, and then the CTA turns it into conversions.
